ALL WELCOME: These 2 hours sustainability workshop is suitable for beginners or those with experience.
Beginners will receive guidance on how to plan a project, unpick, stitch, and operate a sewing machine. We'll talk about recognizing fibers and differentiating both colors and quality.
We also serve seasoned crafters who want to be a part of an exciting and imaginative community.
What to bring:
Students are encouraged to bring their ripped clothing, favorite thrifted buys and all other materials they would like to use on their projects. Students also need to bring portable sewing machines, scissors and some sewing tools
Your teacher will also have plenty of material on hand to help you create something new to you!
What you will learn
Using a sewing machine, reducing waste, fibers, and fabric construction, shaping clothes to fit you better, and unpicking without damaging them are all ways to prolong the life of clothing.
Students will take home a new item made from recycled materials! Beginner and experienced sewers are welcome.
